To celebrate World Refugee Day, the International Rescue Committee in Seattle (and other nonprofit partners) holds ARTVocacy, an annual art show celebrating refugee artists and their stories. This year it was hosted at the KEXP space in Seattle Center. In addition to the art show, they held a naturalization ceremony in which former IRC clients became American citizens. It was an amazing event, with lots of family and friends. I consider myself lucky to have been a part of it.
