Aurora Avenue North, aka US Highway 99, runs through the heart of Seattle from north to south. It was once the main highway bringing people & goods in and out of the city. In the north part of the city, it's become a bit seedy -- full of low-cost motels, illicit activity, and, like the rest of the city, a changing population. Young techies clash with heroin addicts and prostitutes on the same block. It was the most interesting place in the city to me and I spent hours upon hours snapping away to try to capture it all before it disappeared. Below are some of the photos.
